The e-visa is issued through the official portal in most cases within 24 hours and includes mandatory medical insurance in the fee.
Holders may perform Umrah at any time of year outside the Hajj season. It does not cover Hajj, which requires a separate permit issued through approved operators.
Women travelling alone no longer need a guardian or a male companion, and there is no minimum age requirement for solo travel.
