Australia moves biosecurity declarations fully online
Incoming passenger cards are being replaced by a digital declaration, with biosecurity penalties unchanged and strictly enforced.

Complete the declaration in the days before departure and present the resulting code at the border.
Undeclared food, plant material and animal products still attract fines and can lead to visa cancellation for visitors.
SmartGate use is unaffected — the declaration is checked alongside the automated passport clearance.
